The Carter School Admissions

Enrollment
Either you or your school district can start the enrollment process. If you think that based on the information in your child’s Individualized Education Plan you would like your child to attend The Carter School, please contact Karen Rameaka, Head of The Carter School, at (401) 533-9239 or submit this information request form for more information or to schedule a tour. You should also contact your school district and ask them to send us a referral packet (containing your child's current IEP and most recent evaluations). At the same time, your school district may recommend The Carter School as a placement option for your child. In this case, you can still contact us for a tour.

Tuition
Tuition costs are covered by your school district

Transportation
Transportation is provided by your local school district as specified in your child’s IEP

The Carter School offers life skills education and work skills training to high school students with special needs. Students in the Carter School participate in simulated home and work activities that begin to prepare them for life after graduation.
