The Hardest Working Student at Meeting Street
Lilly has been a Meeting Street child since birth. Now 16 years old, Lilly is in the 11th grade in The Carter School, and is an ambassador of Meeting Street.
Lilly was born with developmental delays and has been working hard at Meeting Street ever since, but her newest challenge came two years ago when she began to lose most of her vision. Despite this setback Lilly has fought and persevered.
A lover of literature, you can always see Lilly with a book to her nose! And Lilly's love for adventure and independence go way beyond the pages of a good book. In fact Lilly's biggest smiles come when she can work on navigating her surroundings with weekly trips outside of the building where she has the chance to interact with the community and increase her independence. Her determination is truly inspiring. There's no stopping Lilly!
